Hopper Design was brought on to assist with the re-branding of the 1958 Timber’s Inn in Eugene, Oregon, as part of an extensive remodel headed by architect Nir Pearlson.
We created graphic shapes and lettering that would underscore the buildings mid-century roots and capture the bold style and optimism of the 50s. Following in the tradition of roadside landmarks, the sign was treated as part of the architectural design and anchored to the building’s stone wall. The dynamic shape rises up through the roof line to stand on the building’s peak.
This collaboration yielded a design that enhances function and highlights the vintage building’s unique architectural details.
